This privacy notice is to provide you with information on how your personal data will be processed when you submit a report on the Report + Support Platform.
The legal basis for processing your information is for Purposes of Contract and Reasons of substantial public interest.
If you report an incident experienced or witnessed by you on the Report + Support portal, the University may collect personal data about you. Your information will only be used in relation to gathering information for the purpose of assessing and managing the incident reported.
The primary purpose of Report + Support is to enable students and staff to access support. The University will use information provided in anonymous reports for analytical purposes such as monitoring trends or patterns to help inform our decision-making, for example, policy or procedure change or development.
This report will remain confidential, and the information contained in it will only be passed on to relevant and specifically trained staff members on a strictly need to know basis. We will not disclose any personal or identifiable information to others unless we believe there is a genuine threat to a person’s health and safety.
Your information will be retained for a period of 6 years after the conclusion of the investigation, after which it will be anonymised or securely destroyed.
