Stalking can be defined as a pattern of repeated and unwanted attention that causes alarm or distress. It can consist of unwanted behaviours including:

  • Regularly sending flowers or gifts.
  • Making unwanted or malicious communication.
  • Following.
  • Damaging property.
  • Physical or sexual assault.

A stalker can be a stranger, or someone known to you (such an ex-partner, friend, or family member). Even if you know the person, stalking is never ok.
